Small Round Blue Cell Panel
Small round blue-cell neoplasms can be notoriously difficult to characterize, regardless of where they are found. Clinical information, location, and gross appearance can be either helpful or confusing. One approach is to consider the usual sources of small round blue cell neoplasms and construct a staining panel to differentiate them, as opposed to attempting a focused panel and risk missing something or requiring additional rounds of stains (and thus time).
