Dr. Lefkowitch is a Professor at Columbia University, and although this is a new and as-yet "unproven" board review book, at a glance it appears thorough and well-organized. It is question-and-answer oriented and chapters are separated by organ system, with numerous contributors involved in the writing of each chapter. The pictures (mostly photomicrographs) are above average overall, and the answers are well-explained. It does, however, sacrifice a very thorough explanation of the incorrect answers in favor of going into more detail about the correct one; still, it does address the incorrect answers to some extent. Only time will tell if this will survive as a must have board review book.
