Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)
Accelerated phase:
- Blasts = 10-19% of WBC's in peripheral blood and/or of nucleated bone marrow cells.
- Basophils >= 20% in peripheral blood.
- Persistent thrombocytopenia (<100x109/L) unrelated to therapy OR persistent thrombocytosis (>1000x109/L) unresponsive to therapy.
- Increasing spleen size and increasing WBC count unresponsive to therapy.
- Cytogenetic evidence of clonal evolution.
