Blood agar (BAP (blood agar plate), BA)
General: Common medium used in the primary plating of clinical material and propagation of labatory strains. Generally nonselective. Differential for types of hemolysis; alpha hemolysis, beta hemolysis.
Consists of:
- 5% sheep blood
